It was getting pretty late by the time we got our bags (nearing 11:30pm) so we just quickly dropped the stuff off at Jenn's house (which has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms! Not your typical Nicaraguan home) and headed out to meet her friends. The first spot (The Reef) was a really nice outdoor lounge located in one of the richer areas of Managua. After a drink we headed a few doors down to a club called Moods to watch the band, La Cuneta Son Machin. The cover was $5 but it included the show (which was amazing) and an open bar that only consisted of shots of rum (Ron Plata - really popular here) accompanied by pieces of fruit.

Things I learned from Day Two:
1) Talk to people around you on the plane. I met Gene Cotton (famous folk singer from the states) who is helping fix up a school in Managua. He asked if I wanted to help out on Tuesday and he is going to take the clothes we brought to donate to the orphanage he is affiliated with (thanks to everyone who donated)!
2) Open bar consisting only of Ron Plata is not as good as it sounds.
3) I think explaining that you don't speak Spanish in Spanish (No Hablo Espanol) just leads people to believe you are lying. Despite repeating these words numerous times to the lady beside me on the plane she continued to speak to me in Spanish for the duration of the flight.
